Newlysaid ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
Who this covers. Two groups use Newlysaid: the couple (our customer) and their guests (people who scan the sign to leave a message).
What we collect — From couples: the names, wedding date, and prompt you enter for your event, and the email address associated with your order. From guests: the name, message, and any photo a guest chooses to submit through the guestbook. Guests don't create accounts and we don't ask guests for anything beyond what they type in. Automatically: basic technical data (like general device/browser info) needed to run and secure the site.
How we use it. Solely to provide the service: to display messages in the couple's private guestbook, to generate the digital PDF keepsake, and — if ordered — to produce the printed book. We do not sell your data or the guests' data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with. Only the service providers needed to run Newlysaid: our website host, our print partner (to fulfill printed books), and our payment/marketplace provider (for purchases made through Etsy). They may only use the information to perform their service for us.
How long we keep it. We keep a couple's guestbook data for 12 months after the event, so you have time to download and order your keepsake. After that it may be deleted. You can ask us to delete your event and its data sooner at any time by emailing hello@newlysaid.com.
Your choices. You can request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us. Couples can hide or remove individual guest messages from their dashboard at any time.
Guest photos & messages. Content guests submit is shown to the couple and included in their keepsake. Please only upload photos and messages you have the right to share.
Children. Newlysaid isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes. We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do.
